Support Materials for Implementation of
Connect for Freedom Program

To access the NJDOE guidelines and other human trafficking resources and materials, please visit the NJDOE’s Human Trafficking webpage below.
For questions specific to the NJSLS requirements, please contact the Office of Standards at CHPE@doe.nj.gov. For questions regarding the Guidelines for Schools on the Prevention of Human Trafficking of Students, please contact the Office of Student Support Services at SafeSupportiveSchools@doe.nj.gov or by phone at (609) 376-9109.
If you are interested in having a survivor of human trafficking with lived experience come and speak to the students at your school, this is available through the NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking. The presentations do not contain any graphic descriptions of the trauma experienced; survivors will share the ways traffickers exploited their vulnerabilities and show how empowered they are today by being able to prevent others from experiencing trafficking.

Online Safety & Human Trafficking PSA's

These Online Safety & Human Trafficking PSA’s are important for school administrators to watch and see the impact these issues can have on students. They can be used during a Professional Development Day, Board of Education Meeting, PTA Meeting, or faculty meeting. They are short but succinct in conveying important messages on topics such as online enticement, sextortion, sex trafficking and human trafficking. These videos were created by NCMEC, WedgwoodCS, Love146, and Auroris Media.
