Objective: Doves symbolize freedom and hope.
What: Gather a group of students and give each student a
sand dollar. When each student has their sand dollar,
crack the sand dollar in 3-4 pieces. When you break
open the sand dollar, five tiny “doves” will fall out.
This can be used as an activity to create hope,
inspiration and levity.
How: Order sand dollars ahead of the activity. They can be ordered in bulk on websites like Amazon or Oriental Trading.
